Office Notes
- All visitors must be prepared to sign in in the French Immersion office and show ID.
- Every attempt should be made for students to report to school on time. Students are considered late after 9:00 am and should be accompanied by the guardian to the main office to receive a tardy slip.
- Early dismissal requests must be completed by 3:00 pm in order to decrease confusion during dismissal. Please make every attempt to communicate early dismissal arrangements with your child and send a note to the teacher at the beginning of the day of early dismissal.
Bus information can be obtained from www.pgcps.org. Bus complaints should be directed to 301-952-6586.
- Currently there is a 5-7 day turn around for bus changes to be effective.
- All students must have a lunch account set up in order to have funds deposited. Parents may go to paypams.com to create an online account or come in to the school cafeteria to put money on their students' accounts. FARM applications can be found on PGCPS website.
- Calls cannot be transferred to teachers during the day as it interrupts instruction, messages may be taken.
Legal Absences
Absences from school, including absence for any portion of the day, of pupils who are presently enrolled in public school shall be considered lawful under the following conditions: (Administrative Procedure 10101, Section II page 3.)
- Death in the immediate family.
- Illness of the student.
- Court Summons
- Hazardous weather conditions.
- Work approved or sponsored by the school.
- Observance of a religious holiday.
- State of Emergency.
- Suspension.
- Lack of authorized transportation. (Not including students denied authorized transportation for disciplinary reasons.)
- Other emergency or set of circumstances which, in the judgment of the CEO or designee, constitutes a good and sufficient cause for absence from school.
