Immunization Information
New Student Health Requirements
Students entering a Maryland public school for the first time must meet all state health requirements before enrollment. Families are responsible for ensuring that the required health forms are completed and submitted to the school.
New student requirements include:
Please review the Maryland Department of Health requirements and submit all required documentation to the school nurse before the start of the school year to help ensure a smooth enrollment process.
Student Immunization Requirements
The health and safety of our students are a top priority. In accordance with the PGCPS Administrative Procedure and Maryland Department of Health regulations, all students must be fully immunization compliant within 20 calendar days of the start of the school year. Students who do not meet the required immunization standards by this deadline are at risk of being withdrawn from school until all required immunization documentation is received and compliance is achieved.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to review the current Maryland State Immunization Requirements before the school year begins to ensure their child is up to date on all required vaccinations.
If your child qualifies for a medical or religious exemption, the appropriate exemption documentation must be completed and submitted to the school nurse before the start of the school year. Students without the required immunization records or approved exemption documentation on file may not be permitted to attend school after the 20-day compliance period.
We appreciate your partnership in helping us maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant learning environment for all students.
