Welcome to the Kettering Elementary School Media Center!

Welcome to the Kettering Elementary School Media Center! I’m Dr. Melvina Barton, and I am thrilled to be your guide in our vibrant and dynamic learning space. Our Media Center is more than just a place to borrow books; it’s a hub of excitement and exploration designed to ignite curiosity and foster a lifelong love of learning.

What We Offer

Book Check-Out: Students can explore a wide range of books to check out, from captivating stories and fascinating facts to adventure-filled tales. Each student can borrow up to 2 books every two weeks, helping them dive into new worlds and expand their horizons.

Virtual Field Trips: Get ready for exciting virtual journeys that take us beyond the walls of our school. From exploring ancient ruins to visiting cutting-edge technology labs, our virtual field trips offer students unique and enriching experiences without leaving the classroom.

Coding and AI: In our Media Center, we’re not just about books but also technology and innovation. Students will have the chance to engage in coding activities and learn about artificial intelligence, sparking their interest in the ever-evolving world of technology.

Digital Citizenship: We emphasize the importance of navigating the digital world responsibly. Our program includes lessons on digital citizenship to help students understand how to use technology safely and ethically, preparing them for a future where digital skills are essential.

Get Involved!

Our Media Center is open to students, parents, and the community, and we invite you to be a part of our exciting initiatives. We welcome your involvement if you’re interested in supporting our programs, volunteering, or simply exploring the resources available.
