"Safety doesn't happen by accident." ~Unknown
Safety patrols at Rosa Parks assist students arriving at and departing from school each day. Among other duties, they put out cones for traffic control, help crossing guards, and monitor hallways. They are expected to be at their posts from 7:25 A.M. to 7:45 A.M. and from 1:45 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. daily. To remain in good standing, a patrol must receive no quarterly grade lower than a C. There are currently some 30 members of the force, including a sixth grade captain, a fifth grade captain, 2 lieutenants, and 4 sergeants. Mr. Korlewitz advises the patrols.
