Dress Code Policy

All students at NTP MIddle are expected to follow the dress code.

Shirts/Tops

  • Gray Polo Shirt - long or short sleeved
    • Mid-section should be covered.
    • No writing, graphics, or logos of any kind
  • Cardigans/Sweaters- Green, Black, White or Gray
    • Must be worn OVER the uniform shirt.

Pants

  • Khaki Pants (Tan Colored) 
    • Sagging is unacceptable, and will not be allowed.
    • Belts as needed (Any Color).

Shoes

  • Sneakers, Boots and Loafers are acceptable.
    • For student safety, No crocs or open toe shoes.

Masks

  • TBD-Not required as of August 2024.
    • Will be updated as advised by Health Services & PGCPS

The following items are not allowed:

  • No dresses or skirts (except for religious reasons), jumpsuits, leggings, shorts, or sweatpants
  • No hoodies of any kind
  • Coats or jackets may not be worn during the school day 
    • Students will be issued lockers to store their coats and jackets as they enter the building.
  • No bandanas, do-rags, hats, scarves, skull caps or bonnets.
    • A “bad” hair day will not be accepted in order to wear the aforementioned.
    • Note: Headdress can only be worn for religious or medical reasons (Students must provide administration with documentation with signature and contact information from a physician or religious organization)
  • Colored or non-mesh backpacks, large purses, or bags will not be permitted during the school day.
    • Students will be required to have clear backpacks.
    • All backpacks, bags and purses may be subjected to reasonable searches for routine safety upon school entry.
  • The NTP Middle Student Dress Code Policy is aligned with the Student Code of Conduct/Rights and Responsibilities Handbook.
