Students are expected to complete a full day of school. School ends at 4:10 p.m. Early dismissal to facilitate parent convenience not only disrupts the class but also deprives the student of valuable instruction. Parents are encouraged to make medical appointments after school hours. Please do not call with last minute changes for dismissal because the office may not be able to deliver the message in time.
When a parent arrives to pick up his/her child, please, report to the Main Office and present your ID. We will make sure all documents are correct and all lists are checked and reviewed. Once everything has been approved, the classroom teacher will be notified over the classroom intercom. Teachers are not allowed to release students from their classrooms without authorization from the office.
Students who have an early departure must be picked up before 3:30 p.m. to ensure bus safety and help eliminate bus traffic congestion at dismissal time. After 3:30 p.m., the office will not accept a change in dismissal procedure. Five (5) or more early dismissals will be forwarded to our PPW (Pupil Personnel Worker) and updated proof of residency will be requested.
