Greetings Whitehall Families,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. There are still more days ahead to rest, relax, and have even more fun this summer. I wanted to take a moment to welcome you all to the 2024-2025 school year. My name is Dr. Cynthia E. Farmer, and I am the Proud Principal of Whitehall Elementary.
The assistant principal of Whitehall Elementary is Mr. Brian Cuvo.
WE ARE… WHITEHALL!!!
And, we are family! Whether you are a new or returning family, I want to let you know that the Whitehall staff cannot wait to see all of our scholars. The staff looks forward to building positive relationships with our students and our families. We look forward to engaging with your child by delivering quality instruction in a safe and caring learning environment. We are preparing for another year of success! We can’t do this without you as an active participant in our school community. We, as a staff, devote our time, effort, and energy to achieve success with each Whitehall scholar. We will focus on the social-emotional and academic success of our scholars. Active parental involvement is necessary for our scholars to succeed. When we all work collaboratively and intentionally, each of our Whitehall scholars will become problem solvers, critical thinkers, digital learners, and caring citizens of the Whitehall community. We will continue to build a positive and safe culture. Together, we are a school family.
Thank you in advance for your support as we continue “Educating Children beyond Expectations”.
We are the best because…
WE ARE....................................WHITEHALL!!
Our first day of school is on Monday, August 26, 2024. Please note that this year, our school hours are 9:30am-3:40pm.
Things to Do prior to the Start of School:
1. Read and review the important attached documents:
Whitehall’s Family Handbook
School Supply Lists
2. Review our school website: https://schools.pgcps.org/whitehall/
3. Carefully read the UPDATED Arrival and Dismissal Information. Also, be on the lookout for the back-to-school video, which demonstrates the correct way to drop off when entering the school traffic circle. The safety of our scholars is very important. For this reason, we have revised our Dismissal Procedures and the traffic circle will be closed to parents. During Dismissal, the traffic circle will only be open to buses and van riders.
4. Join the PTA and sign up for the Whitehall PTA Facebook Page to receive notifications.
Sincerely,
Cynthia E. Farmer, Ed.D
