November Principal's Newsletter
Dear Lewisdale Families, Happy November! We’re excited to share some updates, upcoming events, and important reminders as we continue our journey toward a successful school year. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions or concerns. We’re here to support you and your child! Thank you for your continued support and involvement. What’s Happening in November: Academic Focus: Reading and Phonics: This month, our primary grades will concentrate on foundational reading skills, with a focus on phonics and fluency. Math Skills: Third to fifth grade students are diving into multiplication, division, and fractions to build strong mathematical foundations. Science and Social Studies: Hands on experiments and project based learning are engaging students in scientific inquiry and exploring history. Lewisdale Goes Green! We’re working toward our Green School recertification by recycling, composting, and keeping our community clean. Throughout November, students will participate in eco-friendly projects, including recycling and energy conservation. Please encourage your child to practice these habits at home as well. Spotlight on Specials: Art: Selected 4th grade students and Art teachers (Ms. Alston and Ms. Turcios) will be completing a community mural at Lanor Manor Park Mini Pitch Soccer Courts. Physical Education: As the weather cools, we’ll be focusing on indoor fitness routines to keep students active and healthy. Thank you for being such a vital part of our Lewisdale community. Let’s make it a wonderful November filled with learning and growth! As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to extend my warmest wishes to each of you for a joyful and restful break. This holiday is a time to reflect on all that we are thankful for and to cherish moments with family and friends. Educationally yours, Principal Haith
