Dear Laurel Elementary Families,

Welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope you all had a restful and rejuvenating summer break filled with joyful memories. As we prepare to embark on another exciting academic journey, I wanted to take a moment to extend a warm welcome to our new families and a heartfelt welcome back to our returning students.

At Laurel Elementary, we are committed to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student is encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated teachers and staff have been working diligently over the summer to prepare for an enriching year filled with engaging learning experiences, meaningful connections, and opportunities for every child to succeed.

This year, we are excited to introduce several new initiatives designed to enhance our school community. We will continue to focus on building strong relationships between students, families, and staff through various events and programs. I encourage you to stay connected by attending our “Coffee with the Principal” meetings, which will take place monthly, and to get involved in our school’s activities and PTO.

Please mark your calendars for our Back-to-School Night on September 12th at 6:00pm. You will have the chance to meet your child’s teacher, learn more about the curriculum, and  discover ways to support your child’s learning journey. We believe that strong partnerships between home and school play a key role in a student’s success, and we look forward to working closely with you throughout the year.

Our theme this year is “Building a Strong Foundation,” which reflects our commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative community where every student can thrive. As we navigate the challenges and celebrate the successes of the coming year, we are all in this together, building and learning side by side.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. We are excited to see the bright smiles and eager faces of our students as they return to school on August 26th. Together, let’s make this a fantastic year of growth, discovery, and achievement.
