National Honor Society
About the Largo High School Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS)
Membership Criteria
Membership is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors who meet the following criteria:
SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship is determined by a scholar carrying a 3.30 grade point average (GPA) or higher for four consecutive quarters.
LEADERSHIP
Leadership can be demonstrated by holding offices in school or community organizations and/or effective participation in the classroom, co-curricular activities, and off-campus activities.
SERVICE
Service is demonstrated through actions taken by the student which are done with or on the behalf of others without financial or material compensation
CHARACTER
Character is demonstrated by the following qualities:
- respect
- responsibility
- trustworthiness
- fairness
- caring
- citizenship
The Student Activity Information Form will be used to ascertain the degree to which students meet the selection criteria.
