Mrs. Cabrera is a dedicated mother, wife, and passionate educator originally from Puerto Rico. Her journey has taken her from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico to Maryland, where she relocated in 2015 to embark on a fulfilling career as a first-grade teacher in the Spanish Immersion Program at PGCPS.
Driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact, she began her master's degree in 2016 and became a Reading Specialist, focusing on supporting her school community. In 2020, she pursued a PhD in Philosophy in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Teaching, a journey she is still actively engaged in. Alongside her doctoral studies, she has completed a second master's degree in Educational Leadership and served as an 8th-grade teacher for Spanish Immersion.
Currently, Mrs. Cabrera feels honored to be part of Largo High School as the Immersion Program Academic Dean. This role allows her to contribute to the development of this pioneering high school program, which offers instruction in French, Chinese, and Spanish within PGCPS for the very first time.
Beyond her professional life, Mrs. Cabrera loves to travel, sing, and explore diverse cuisines. These passions enrich her life culturally and fuel her commitment to education.
