Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year! A message from Dr. Grant, Principal…

Dear Mustang Community,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope that you and your families are enjoying the summer and staying safe. This is the year of new beginnings and seizing all of the great possibilities that awaits James Ryder Randall Elementary School students, families, and staff alike! 

Our theme this year is, "Ready to Lead: Leading by Learning the Mustang Way."  As we embrace the new school year, we must be open to learning new things. This requires that we all lead by example as we continue to Reimagine Randall. 

During the upcoming school year, it will be extremely important that you take an active role in your child’s learning. Parents and families play a crucial role in the academic success of our students. Therefore, school and parent communication will be critical to ensuring we all stay connected. Ways to support and increase your child’s academic success include:

•   Make attendance a PRIORITY including limiting tardiness and absences
•   Check Synergy Parent Portal weekly to stay informed of grades entered
•   Download the ClassDojo app on your cell phone and check it daily for school updates
•   Communicate often with your child’s teacher via ClassDojo or email
•   Read with your child at least 20 minutes every day and ask questions about the story
•   Use online interventions such as iReady on a weekly basis

Remember we are here to support you and we are in this together. We appreciate and value your partnership and look forward to working with you this school year.
