Counseling Center

Program Overview

We are sincerely invested in helping all students reach their academic, social and emotional potential. The mission of the School Counseling Department is to promote social/emotional, academic and career development for all students. We work to help students form a sense of responsibility and to develop the skills necessary to realize their individual goals. All DuVal High School students participate in comprehensive counseling consultation with grade specific goals. The department is designed to increase the DHS community's understanding of college and career readiness, develop self-advocacy, planning and independence skills while becoming familiar with their individual learning styles and interests. This website is designed to provide current and up-to-date information on programming and services provided by the Counseling department.

Counseling and guidance services are provided by the School Counseling department which includes quality Professional School Counselors, two Registrar's and our Counseling Administrative Assistant.

**If you have a concern regarding a student who has a “TBD” counselor - please reach out to the other counselor for that grade or the grade level administrator for assistance.
