Hello my name is Mrs. Dana Brown. I am the Community School Coordinator here at Bradbury Heights ES. I workwith the staff and stakeholders at Bradbury Heights to support your child, and your family with resources and advocacy. The Children's Guild Family Help Center - School Based Counseling and Psychiatric Services

The Children’s Guild Family Help Center believes that one of the most important aspects of a child’s well-being is their mental health.  The Children’s Guild provides behavioral health services including individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling and medication evaluation to youth and their families. Their team of professionals, including psychiatrists and master’s level counselors, will actively involve parents, family members, caregivers and school staff in a holistic, strengths based, trauma informed therapeutic approach. The Children’s Guild counselors are trained to provide services for a multitude of reasons such as behavioral challenges, grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, social skills, and self-esteem.

What services are provided by The Family Help Center?

All services are provided by licensed mental health professionals.

  • Individual, Family, and Group Therapy  
  • Psychiatric Assessments and Medication Management

Services are conveniently provided within the school community and school hours

Home and community visits are available as needed and upon request

The Family Help Center Provides Students Support in the Following Areas:

Goals for counseling are individually created with each student and family.

  • Coping with life transitions (new school year, family changes, friendship changes)
  • Anger management
  • Grief and Loss  
  • Conflict Resolution Skills
  • Managing inattentive or hyperactive behavior
  • Worry and/or sadness and/or loss of interest in routine activities
  • Dealing with current or past situations that are traumatic
  • Supportive counseling, self-esteem building, social skills training, etc.
