Welcome to a new and exciting school year! I am really looking forward to working with your children. We have all kinds of new and interesting events, programs and activities planned that should make our year a great one to remember.
I will be going into all classrooms on a regular basis to work with the students on conflict-resolution, making and keeping friends, anger and bully management, internet safety, organization and test taking skills, college and career readiness, just to name a few. I also will be working with students in small lunch groups and on an individual basis to address any social, behavioral, familial or emotional needs. Please contact me if you have concerns or issues you would like my help with in regards to your child.
We will continue to grow our PBIS program (Positive Behavioral Intervention System) by offering individual incentives for students who are following the schoolwide expectations of being PREPARED, RESPECTFUL, INVOLVED, DOING OUR BEST and EXCITED or what we call “showing our Husky P.R.I.D.E.”. Teachers will be using Class Dojo to reward students. Individual students can "cash-out" in their classroom for cool rewards. Class PRIDE is rewarded with a "Husky Bone." Ten Husky Bones earn the entire class a reward, such as no uniform days or extra recess!
