Welcome to School Year 2026! We are excited for another rigorous and successful year at Apple Grove Elementary. Together, we will continue moving in Greatness at the Grove and ensuring that every student, staff member, and family feels safe, seen, valued, and supported.
Strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. Daily, on-time attendance is also critical, as every school day provides important opportunities for learning, growth, and connection. We look forward to working together to make this an outstanding year for our Bulldogs!
If you are available, we hope you will join us on the first day of school as we cheer, applaud, encourage and send good vibes and blessings to our students as they enter the building!
School hours are 8:10 AM until 2:40 PM. Instruction will take place during this time. Doors will open at 8:10 AM for students and breakfast will be served from 8:10 AM to 8:40 AM. Students who enter the building after 8:30 AM are considered late. Early dismissal ends daily at 2:00 PM to allow us to prepare for a safe and orderly regular dismissal.
Office hours are 8:10 AM until 3:30 PM. During this time, our office staff will be available to assist you and share information.

Our students wear red or black short/long sleeve polo shirts with khaki colored or black pants/skirts/shorts. Students may also wear a red or black dress or Apple Grove Elementary spirit gear. The newsletter will be updated Sunday evenings to share information you and your child will need to be successful during the week.
ParentVUE is the student information portal found at https://md-pgcps-psv.edupoint.com/ allows authorized parents and guardians to securely view student grades, assignments, attendance, transcripts, graduation status, and other academic information. Families can also update phone numbers and emergency contacts.
The Grove shares information via ClassDojo and PGCPS SchoolMessenger via phone calls, e-mail and text messages. Be sure to connect with us with ClassDojo at www.classdojo.com (see your child’s teacher for your personalized join code). Also, check your phone numbers, email and communication preferences in your ParentVUE account to ensure that you receive important alerts and notifications.
At The Grove, Bulldog P.R.I.D.E. guides how our children learn, behave, and treat others.
