The overall purpose and mission of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
Allenwood PTA strives to accomplish our purpose and mission by:
•Supporting and speaking on behalf of children and families in the schools, community and local governing bodies,
•Assisting families by providing resources they need to support the continued growth, development and safety of their children,
•Encouraging school involvement from parents, grandparents, guardians and the surrounding Allenwood community.

Membership: We welcome ALL of the Allenwood community to ALL PTA events and meetings. We encourage you to join the PTA by paying annual dues to help support PTA events at school, help support our teachers through appreciation activities and to get access to state and national PTA resources. Annual dues are $10 per person and $5 for Allenwood employees. Dues cover the entire school year. Payment is accepted by cash, check or PayPal (refer to the forms on the PTA table in the lobby for further payment information).
Meetings: Our meetings are the first Tuesday of each month in the multipurpose room at 7:00 pm with audio conferencing provided when requested. EVERYONE is welcome to attend our meetings and events!!
Communication: Communication is the key to success! We work closely with our school’s administration staff to ensure that events are publicized through PTA channels, which includes PTA email distribution list (any person who signs in to any PTA event is added to the list) and our Facebook page as well as flyers for events.
1) Facebook: Allenwood parents, guardians, teachers and staff are invited to like and follow us on Facebook using www.facebook.com/allenwoodespta. This is a great way to stay informed about many things related to our Allenwood PTA, community events, legislation and informational resources.
