Dear Allenwood Elementary School Community,
I hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying a wonderful summer. My name is Dr. Sharon H. Porter, and I am honored to introduce myself as the newly-appointed principal of Allenwood Elementary School. With over 30 years of experience in education, including more than 15 years as a school and central office administrator, I am thrilled to bring my passion for learning and commitment to student success to this vibrant community.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with diverse groups of students, educators, and families. Each experience has reinforced my belief in the power of education to transform lives and communities. My journey has been driven by a deep-seated commitment to creating inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environments where every child can thrive.
I am dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and respect. I believe that education is a partnership between the school, families, and the wider community, and I am eager to work together to ensure our scholars have the support and resources they need to reach their full potential.
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I am excited to meet each of you and learn more about your hopes and aspirations for our school. Your input and involvement are invaluable and I look forward to working together to create an exceptional educational experience for our scholars. I am excited to announce that I will have two formal opportunities to meet and greet each of you at Allenwood Elementary. The first opportunity will be Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 12:00 pm -1:00 pm and then again on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. I look forward to seeing each of you.
