Dear Allenwood School Community,
I hope that you have had a rewarding year and are proud of all that you have done to support the students of Allenwood Elementary School.
As you are aware, Ms. Fagbuyi will be transitioning from her position as Principal of Allenwood Elementary. I want to thank her for her tireless leadership and commitment over the past 12 years to the Allenwood School Community. I truly appreciate her hard work and dedication to Allenwood and wish her well in her future endeavors.
I am happy to announce that Superintendent House has selected Dr. Sharon Porter as the next Principal of Allenwood Elementary, beginning the 2024-2025 school year. Dr. Porter has a wealth of knowledge, and I am confident that her years of experience and strong instructional leadership will positively impact the entire school community. Dr. Porter will officially begin her tenure at Allenwood on Monday, July 1. Ms. Fagbuyi and Dr. Porter will collaborate for the remainder of this school year to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of the great work happening at Allenwood Elementary.
