Note: Some pages linked below require a PGCPS login to view.
You may have noticed that X feeds are frozen or out of date on your website.
This is due to X content being moved behind a paywall, meaning that a website visitor must be logged in to X to see the posts.
We have a solution for you. We are creating new X feeds in our 3rd party Stackla software and embedding the feed on your website. It may look slightly different than what you are used to, but the content is available without a login.
Check it out on Accokeek Academy and Oxon Hill Middle websites.
If you are editing an office website, you may have noticed that you no longer have to submit content for review by the translations team. That is because we are moving from a hand-translated Spanish website to a machine-translated one. The links in the language dropdown will change on both office and school websites to point to a machine-translation tool.
This will also allow us to offer more languages. The new language tools will be available in the next two weeks.
Only have time to work on your website once a week? You can create all your new content and then schedule them to publish and then archive on different days and times.
You can schedule and auto-archive pages, blocks, school spotlights, and assets (flyers, docs, etc.).
TIP: If you have an item you are posting as a flyer or a page or a block, and it has an end date (like an event or application deadline). When you create it in Optimizely, go ahead and set an expiration date. As the old commercial goes, you "set it and forget it."
Featured websites in this issue are from Strategic Planning and Resource Management, the Climate Change Action Plan, and Carmody Hills Elementary
Highlights from Strategic Planning and Resource Management's Critical Success Indicator (CSI) Data Dashboard include the effective combination of background containers, rich text blocks, partial page views coupled with an effective use of cohesive icons to bring the page together.
The Climate Change Action Plan (CCAP) Data Dashboard uses rich text blocks, background containers and dynamic charts to tell the story how we are taking action on climate change.
Carmody Hills Elementary home page demonstrates the effective use of a google calendar to display upcoming events easily on their home page. Non only do they highlight events separately as a partial page view (card) on their page, but they allow parents to see all upcoming events in their google calendar.

We have appointments nearly every day, all day.
