Employment History - Child Sex Abuse & Misconduct Forms  (Former Employees Only)

Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS), Employee and Labor Relations Office (ELRO) processes all requests from former employees to complete Child Sexual Abuse and Misconduct employment history forms as required by various states.

For tracking purposes and to ensure that your request is received, all forms should be emailed to elro.investigation@pgcps.org.  If you have any questions or would like to check on the status of your request, please call the Employee Labor Relations Office at 301-952-6579.  Requests are processed in the order received.

Maryland Public Information Act (MPIA) Requests

The Maryland Public Information Act (Md. Code, Gen. Prov. Art. section 4-101 et seq.) grants the public a broad right of access to inspect or copy public documents, subject to certain exceptions. Employees wishing to access a copy of their employment personnel file must follow the MPIA request process outlined in the PGCPS Administrative Procedure 1120 and on the Office of General Counsel website. The same process should be followed for ELRO investigative or disciplinary files. Please click on the link for the Office of General Counsel for more detailed information about the process.

Unemployment Insurance

Unemployment Insurance is defined as a joint state-federal program that provides cash benefits to eligible workers.  Each state administers a separate unemployment insurance program.

Unemployment Insurance Claims are submitted when a former Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) employee notifies a state unemployment agency that they are no longer employed with PGCPS and are requesting benefits.  State unemployment agencies then request employment information from the last employer listed by the claimant.

If you believe that someone has filed a fraudulent unemployment claim using your name, the State of Maryland provides several resources:
