End of Year Message from the Superintendent

Dear PGCPS Families and Community,

As we approach the close of this year, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for your continued partnership and support. 

This school year has already been marked by many important milestones. We’ve improved transportation services to create smoother commutes for our students, expanded access to behavioral health services to support their well-being, and celebrated the opening of new, state-of-the-art schools with even more on the way. These achievements reflect our shared dedication to providing the best possible experiences for every child in Prince George’s County.

Winter break is an opportunity for all of us to rest, recharge, and enjoy quality time with loved ones. I encourage you to take time to celebrate the season safely and return next year ready to finish the school year strong.

As a reminder, our free Hazel Health service is available over the break for free virtual medical and therapy appointments. 

I also encourage you to stay connected with PGCPS through the ParentVue platform. ParentVue is essential for keeping up with your child’s academic journey, offering updates on report cards and progress reports, tracking attendance, monitoring graduation requirements, and much more. 

If you haven’t activated your ParentVue account yet, now is the perfect time to do so.
