School hours are 7:45 am to 1:55 pm. Students will enter the building from the front door and line up in the Multipurpose Room. Students may enter the building and line up as early as 7:30 am. Bus riders are admitted to class without penalty of tardiness should the bus arrive late to school. Students will be permitted to eat breakfast.
Parents may walk students to class prior to 8:00 am after signing into the Raptor System in the Main Office. Classroom visits cease after 8:00 am because instruction has occurred. Should a parent wish to visit the class, they are asked to arrange the visit with the teacher ahead of time. Visits are limited to 30 minutes per PGCPS Administrative Procedure 0500.
Dismissal for all students is 1:55 pm. Early dismissal ends at 1:30 pm to ensure a safe and accurate departure for all students. Afternoon announcements start at 1:50 pm. Van riders and aftercare students are released from class first. Van riders are to report to Room 104, where Ms. Tyler and Ms. Safford will release them to their respective caregiver. The van drivers enter the cul-de-sac adjacent to the school. The caregiver comes to the door in the courtyard toRoom 104 to receive their students. Aftercare students who attend AlphaBest, the onsite provider, will report to the library. Bus riders will exit the building through the courtyard with our escorts to board their respective buses upon their arrival. Primary walkers are released through the primary wing door to meet their families/caregivers on the playground. Intermediate walkers are released from the rear door on the blacktop to walk down the ramp and on to the sidewalk to go home. Parents who drive to pick up their children can part on Lewis and Lacy Avenues to meet their children. Any late buses will enter the bus lane, where students will gather in the multipurpose, and exit out of the front of building to board.
