August 2026,

Dear Rosaryville Families,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at Rosaryville Elementary School! We are excited to welcome our returning Jaguars and the families who are joining our school community for the first time. Our staff is preparing classrooms, strengthening instructional plans, and creating a safe and welcoming environment so that every scholar begins the year ready to learn and thrive.

Our theme this year is “Team Jaguars: Better Together!” This theme reflects a simple but powerful belief that our students are most successful when school, home, and community work as one team. It also complements PGCPS’ new strategic direction, Forward by Design: Acceleration 2029, with its focus on strong student outcomes, targeted support for diverse learners, safe and supportive schools, and meaningful family partnerships.

Here at Rosaryville Elementary School, our Jaguar P.R.I.D.E. expectations remain at the heart of our school culture:

P – Prepared to learn

R – Respect for self and others

I  – Improve daily

D – Demonstrate appropriate behavior at all times

E – Encourage and expect excellence

Academically, we will focus on engaging, high-quality instruction that accelerates achievement, provides targeted support for each learner, and strengthens partnerships with families and the community. Your partnership in ensuring daily attendance and on-time arrival is essential to your child’s success. Every day in school matters, and consistent attendance gives students the best opportunity to build skills, confidence, and strong relationships with their teachers and classmates.

Families are essential members of Team Jaguars. Please stay connected by creating a ParentVUE account and regularly monitoring it for important student information, as well as using ClassDojo for school and classroom updates. These tools will help ensure that families remain informed and connected throughout the school year. Thank you for your trust, partnership, and continued support. I look forward to an outstanding year of learning, growth, and Jaguar pride. Together, we are Team Jaguars, and we are Better Together!

As you prepare for opening day on August 25th, please review the important dates and announcements listed below.

Sincerely,

Rashida Edwards, M.T., M.Ed.,

Principal
