  • Develop the mission/vision of Non-Traditional Program South
  • Develop policies and procedures for Non-Traditional Program South
  • Administer all aspects of the Non-Traditional Program South’s overall program
  • Facilitate/Monitor  the School Performance Plan
  • Serve as the Chair for the Instructional Council and Leadership Team
  • Facilitate quarterly “State of Non-Traditional Program South” Assemblies
  • Select and evaluate personnel
  • School Finances & Payroll
  • Negotiate all contracts
  • Facilitate monthly faculty meetings
  • Monitor marquee, call-out systems, main office “message board”
  • Crisis Management / Emergency Plan and Drills / Coordinate Monthly Fire Drills
  • Section 504 Coordinator 
  • Certify Reporting 
  • Regularly attend P.T.S.O. meetings (September, November, January, March, May)
  • Supervise the Instructional Specialist, Student Advocate, Social Worker, Nurse, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Specialist, Testing Coordinator, and Secretaries
  • Observe and supervise: Guidance, Mathematics, Special Education, Science, ESOL, Art, World Languages, Physical Education, and Foundations of Technology
  • Observe new, non-tenured, and teachers needing support
  • Oversee the New Teachers’ Academy and Academic Coaches    
  • Oversee the Sy 2022 - 2023 Professional Development Calendar
  • Oversee Cafeteria Operations
  • Oversee AVP, EOP, Testing, and Test Administration
  • Oversee the Security Team
  • Plan the Opening Week Agenda
  • Coordinate Bell Schedules
  • Coordinate Faculty and Staff Awards Program
  • Coordinate Back to School Night
  • Monitor School Website
  • Coordinate quarterly 9th and 10th grade assemblies 
  • Oversee the SY23 Kings Mentoring Program
  • Attend weekly collaborative planning and monthly department meetings
  • Supervise extracurricular activities

Instructional Specialist's Areas of Responsibility

  • Second in command in the absence of the Coordinating Supervisor
  • Co-Facilitate/Monitor the School Performance Plan
  • Serve as the Vice Chair for the Instructional Council and Leadership Team
  • Serve as the Chair for the Student Intervention Team
  • Serve as Grade Manager and Alternate Testing Coordinator
  • Manage Non-Traditional South’s Social Media Presence 
  • Observe and supervise: Transition Teacher, English, Social Studies, Business, IT, Carpentry, Electrical, Automotive, and Health
  • Liaison for Pupil Personnel Worker 
  • Oversee Community Partnerships
  • Oversee Restorative Practices Program
  • Oversee Transition Program 
  • Oversee Learning Walk Quarterly Calendar
  • Oversee Instructional Lead Teacher
  • Oversee annual New Scholar Orientation
  • Oversee Transportation
  • Attend weekly collaborative planning meetings
  • Attend monthly department meetings
  • Instructional support for scholars
  • Staff / Scholar / Paraprofessional Handbooks
  • Staff Duty Assignments
  • Supervise extracurricular activities
