I am humbled to lead a school community that has a rich history of culture, learning, tradition, and parent involvement. While this year has presented learning challenges that are new for us all, it is important to me that everyone who walks through our doors or connects to our virtual meetings -teachers, students, parents- feels welcome, safe, heard, and valued. Along with staff and parents, I will work to continue the legacy of success and learning established at Mary Harris “Mother” Jones by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. We often say it takes a village to raise a child, and we are the village.

Dr. Quiñones joined the PGCPS family as a staff member and parent in 2005. She and her family relocated to Adelphi, Maryland. Her four children started as English Language Learners (ELLs), navigated a new system, and adapted to a new culture and language.
Currently, her two daughters and husband are teachers in the district, and they collaborate to ensure that they share with others what others shared with them. As a family, they enjoy sharing time together and visting new places.
