Hello High Point High School (HPHS) Community,
Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful and restful summer break. We are excited to officially kick off the 2025-2026 school year on Monday, August 26.
I am proud to announce that our students and staff achieved a significant milestone last year (2024-2025), increasing our graduation rate by 12 percentage points! This is a testament to our collective commitment to student success.
This year, we will continue to build on this momentum by focusing on three key priorities: Student Academic Performance, School Culture and Climate, and Family Engagement. We will also maintain our commitment to providing a safe and orderly learning environment for all students. Your partnership is crucial, and I ask for your support in ensuring your student arrives at school in school uniform by 7:15 a.m. each day to maximize their attendance and learning time.
Here are a few important reminders to help ensure a smooth start to the school year:
Student IDs: All students must wear their school IDs around their neck at all times. IDs were distributed over the summer, and students who still need one can get one during lunchtime. Students must show their school ID to access services and resources. IDs’ will be issued in the Media Center durgin lunchtimes
Clear Bags: All book bags and purses must be clear. Students received a clear bag when they picked up their IDs. If your student still needs one, they can pick one up by showing their student ID.

As always, student success is our priority, and HPHS is dedicated to meeting the needs of each student. On behalf of the administration, faculty, and staff, we thank you in advance for your support and participation in achieving our vision. Finally, I expect to see you during the back-t0-School-Night on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 5:30 pm. Vendors and community partners will be available to offer resources and assistance.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
