Greetings High Point High School (HPHS) Family,
It is my sincere hope that you have enjoyed the summer vacation. I formally welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year that starts on Monday, 8/26/2024. I have attached that welcome letter to the HPHS community (Community Welcome Letter - HPHS-_8.22.2024 (English & Spanish).pdf). Additionally, I am including the following reminders:
- School IDs: All students must wear their school IDs around their necks.IDs were distributed during the summer. Students without an ID can get one during lunchtime.
- Book Bags/Purses: All bookbags and purses must be clear. High Point provided a clear book bag when students came to get their school IDs.Students who still need a clear book bag must provide an ID.
- Hoodies: Jackets/pullovers with hoodies are not allowed in the building. Only solid-back or solid-blue jackets without hoodies are permitted.
- Cell Phones: Students should turn off their cell phones and store them in their pockets or clear bags in class. The school is not responsible for personal electronic devices that students bring to school.
- Chromebooks: Encourage your child to keep the computer charging overnight. If the laptop has any issues, see Mr. Duncan in room 222; however, the student must show the school ID and a pass signed by the teacher.
- Transportation: Download the Stopfinder app from App Store or get it on Google Play. Also, Enter your address or select Pin to locate the bus information (LINK)
- Uniforms: All students are expected to be in uniform daily as follows:
UNIFORM SHIRTS
- 9th grade: WHITE polo with collar
- 10th and 11th grade: BLUE polo with collar
- 12th grade: GOLD polo with collar
- Hooded jackets and sweaters are not permitted in the building.
UNIFORM LOWER PART
- All students must wear solid light beige or khaki pants, shorts, capris, or skirts that are worn at the natural waist.
- Solid light beige and khaki shorts or capris that are worn at the natural waist and should reach to the knee.
