Bus service eligibility is determined by PGCPS. Under Administrative Procedure 3541, regular middle school students are eligible for transportation if they reside two miles or more from their assigned school or for whom unsafe walking conditions exist. School hours are 9:30 am to 4:10 pm. Students may arrive no earlier than 9:00 am. Greenbelt Middle follows the PGCPS A/B Day schedule and students have 5 MODs per day. Early dismissals stop at 3:15 pm.
Breakfast is served from 9:05 am to 9:20 am. Lunch is served in the cafeteria from 10:45 am to 2:00 pm. Students are split into six lunch periods based on their MOD schedule. Parents can add money to meal accounts through the My School Bucks website.
All students attend Code of Conduct assemblies in September to discuss the expected behaviors, rewards, and consequences of Greenbelt Middle, including the school dress code. Greenbelt Middle is a uniform school. Please review the PGCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook with your child.

Parents and family members are a vital part of our Greenbelt community! Families are encouraged to join the Greenbelt Middle PTSA and stay involved by attending monthly workshops and volunteering for school events.

When contacting teachers, please include your student’s name so we can assist you effectively.
Use the ParentVUE Family Portal to view schedule, teachers and grades. Students who wish to participate in year-long electives, such as languages and band, will have an opportunity to request those before schedules are prepared over the summer.
