Dear Parents & Guardians,
Welcome to the 2026 - 2027 school year at Ellen Ochoa Middle School. I trust that your child has had a relaxing summer and is recharged for the upcoming school year. Ellen Ochoa Middle School is committed to creating a learning environment that meets the needs of all students.
At Ellen Ochoa Middle School, we will prioritize providing your child with a high-quality education. Our goal is to work collaboratively as a caring community to create experiences and opportunities for our scholars to achieve at high levels. We will enhance student learning and maximize our students' academic, social, physical, and emotional development.
All students will be required to wear the following uniforms based on their grade level:
6th Grade
Black polo shirt w/tan khaki pants, black shoes/sneakers. Black sweaters or sweatshirts are allowed (no hoodies).
7th Grade
Royal blue polo shirt w/tan khaki pants, black shoes/sneakers. Royal blue sweaters or sweatshirts are allowed (no hoodies).
8th Grade
Forest green polo shirt w/tan khaki pants, black shoes/sneakers. Forest green sweaters or sweatshirts are allowed (no hoodies).
All information will be shared with families on our school’s website, https://www.pgcps.org/schools/ellen-ochoa-middle. The students’ school supply lists can also be found on the school’s website. More information about school supplies will be shared during the first week of classes and at our Back-to-School Night. Please check the website for school updates periodically.
Online registration is available for all parents. I highly encourage you to create and log in to your ParentVUE account and complete any necessary registration documentation.
Our New Student Orientation (NEW STUDENTS ONLY) will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 8:30 AM – 12:15 PM.
