In an effort to get information out regarding state testing as soon as possible, please take note of the scheduled days of upcoming state testing for our scholars in Grades 3-8.
MISA 5 & 8:
8th Grade: March 3 and March 4
5th Grade: March 10 and March 11
MCAP Math:
3rd - 8th Grade: April 9 and April 14
MCAP ELA:
3rd - 8th Grade: April 15, April 16, April 21, and April 23
MCAP Social Studies:
8th Grade: May 4 and May 5
We are anticipating that the tests will run the same as last year where scholars MUST test in order (i.e., they can't take section 2 if they didn't complete section 1) and therefore, must be present for each day of testing in order to avoid being moved to a make-up day.
We will also be providing an opportunity for all scholars in grades 3-8 who are on time and present for each scheduled day of testing to be invited on an MCAP incentive field trip at the end of the testing window. Scholars who receive accommodations will also be expected to be in school on their scheduled days of testing (these dates will be shared soon). More information on this incentive trip is forthcoming but we do ask that you plan accordingly in terms of doctor's appointments and any unplanned trips.
Any scholar that is not on time will be excluded from attending the event. All scholars must be ON TIME for EACH scheduled day above. While we do know buses can oftentimes be late, we try to hold out as long as possible without disrupting the entire school day. This means that if you know your scholar's bus is a late bus, you may want to secure them to be dropped off on these days, if possible.
