The Maryland School Report Card

Created by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), the Maryland School Report Card helps families, educators, and communities understand how each school is performing – and where there’s room to grow. It provides clear, easy-to-read information about key areas such as:

  • Academic achievement (test performance)
  • Student growth over time
  • Graduation rates (for high schools)
  • Attendance and school climate
  • English language progress (for multilingual learners)

Each school receives an overall score, a 1–5 star rating, and detailed data to help you make informed decisions and support student success.

PGCPS Schools are Raising the Stars

Arrowhead Elementary School

See how Arrowhead Elementary School moved from a 3 to a 4-Star Rating on the Maryland Report Card for the first time ever through intentional instructional programs, more interventions and flexible groups, and a focus on writing!

Central High School

Central High School had one of the district's largest increases in percentage of possible points earned on the latest Maryland Report Card! 🌟

This improvement is attributed to supporting students through interventions, grade-level professional learning communities for educators, being clear on the mission and building rapport with students and families. We are #PGCPSProud of your continued growth and achievement.

Judith P. Hoyer Montessori
