A charter school may give lottery preference to new students who have a sibling admitted through the lottery process or who are currently enrolled in the charter school. Siblings must live in the same household, and have the same responsible parent/guardian. Families must submit a valid lottery application by the deadline to be eligible for sibling preference.
In order to apply for sibling preference, you must submit a regular lottery application during the public charter school open enrollment season from first work day in November annually through the last Friday in January annually. Your confirmation will indicate “Prospective Sibling – A sibling is currently attending at this school” next to the school choice.
Sibling preference is based on seat availability and never a guarantee. If there is more sibling preference request than seats available, a sibling lottery will be held to determine placement.
Changes to the lottery application is permitted only during the open lottery period. Once the lottery closes on the last Friday in January parents will not be allowed to make changes.
Please keep all email confirmations as your record of lottery entries.
