Within PGCPS, the Office of Psychological Services employs school psychologists at the doctoral and specialist levels. All school psychologists in Maryland are certified through the Maryland State Department of Education, and many on our staff hold their Nationally Certified School Psychologist credential, are licensed through the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychology, and/or are credentialed through the American Board of School Neuropsychology.
The mission of PGCPS’s Office of Psychological Services is to promote educationally sound and psychologically healthy environments for all children and youth by implementing research-based effective programs that prevent problems, enhance independence, and promote optimal learning. This is accomplished through state-of-the-art research and training, advocacy, ongoing program evaluation, and caring professional service.
