Environmental, Agricultural, and Natural Resources
Overview
The Environmental, Agricultural, and Natural Resources Program embraces an interdisciplinary approach to the study of earth systems and the human impact on the environment. The course of study is built on obtaining a solid foundation of biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Students successfully completing the programs of study are equipped to pursue areas of study in college and the expanding career fields related to environmental science.
Requirements to Enroll and Complete Program: Be in good academic standing with an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Animal Science Pathway
(4-year pathway)
The Animal Science pathway is composed of a four-course sequence that exposes students to agriculture, animal science and nutrition. Students will understand animal and plant anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and reproduction. Students will also engage in inquiry with local and regional entities who manage environmental issues of the agricultural system as a whole. Recommended Electives: Advanced Placement Biology, Advanced Placement Chemistry, Advanced Placement Environmental Science.

Natural Resources Pathway
(4-year pathway)
The Natural Resources pathway is composed of a four-course sequence that exposes students to environmental, agricultural and natural resource issues and management. Students will understand land use, biomes, water quality, and types of energy. Students will also engage in inquiry with local and regional entities who govern the management of our natural resources. Recommended Electives: Advanced Placement Biology, Advanced Placement Chemistry, Advanced Placement Environmental Science, Environmental Issues.
