Arts, Media and Communication

Overview

T-sunflower-sun-summer-yellow.jpgThe Arts, Media, and Communication Program provides students the opportunity to explore the world of graphic and digital design, multimedia platforms and instruments, and video production. Students will fine tune artists skills at each phase of the program and create a professional portfolio to showcase their amazing work. Students are provided with knowledge of industry level equipment, materials, and processes that are necessary for a post secondary pathway (college and/or career).

Interactive Media Production

(3-year pathway)

The Interactive Media Production (IMP) program includes a strong foundation in arts and communication with particular emphasis on design, graphic and media communications, interactive technologies, and project development. Students will complete one foundation course (Principles of Art, Media and Communication), two advanced courses (Interactive Media Design I & II), and the Capstone. Interactive Media Production students gain experience in website development, computer graphics, digital media production, and project management. During the capstone course, students will develop a portfolio of their work and an opportunity to test for at least one of Adobe Creative Suite certifications. Graduates may also earn articulated college credit. Recommended Electives: AP Studio Art, Drawing, AP Studio 2D or 3D Design.
