Planning Together. Building the Future.

Overview

PGCPS is embarking on a significant journey to shape the future of our school facilities by developing a new Educational Facilities Master Plan (EFMP), a long-term roadmap that will guide our investments in more than 200 buildings across Prince George’s County. At the heart of this process is a commitment to transparency, collaboration, and meaningful community engagement. Guided by the theme Planning Together. Building the Future., the Department of Capital Program is inviting students, families, educators, staff, elected officials, community members, and local partners to help shape this vision. Through listening sessions and ongoing feedback opportunities, every voice will play an important role in informing the plan and building a stronger future.

What to expect

This process is grounded in transparency, collaboration, and meaningful engagement. We want to hear directly from our communities, including students, families, educators, staff, community members, business leaders, and local partners, who learn, work, and grow in our schools every day. Together, they play a role in shaping the future of PGCPS.

In the coming months, we will host listening sessions throughout Prince George's County. Feedback and insights gathered will inform the Department of Capital Program’s assessments, criteria development, key recommendations, and final plan.
