We are pleased to announce the appointment of Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. (Sedgwick) as the new administrator of our auto liability, general liability, property, and workers’ compensation claims effective October 1, 2022. We selected Sedgwick because of its positive reputation for quality casualty claims administration and its specialty focus on public entities such as Prince George’s County.
This means all employees should report all new claims to Sedgwick beginning October 1, 2022 by calling the New Injured Employee Hotline at 1-855-364-9861. For all questions relating to current claims, you may call Sedgwick’s Customer Service at 1-855-653-7470 effective October 3, 2022. Notices of claim should be directed to Sedgwick Claims Management.

We are closely monitoring the updates around the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. As a part of our phase back to work process, we want to ensure we are taking all the precautionary measures to avoid any current and future risks by reducing physical contact where possible. As a result, effective immediately we are requiring that all documentation be sent to the Risk Management and Workers’ Compensation Office by way of fax, email, and if necessary by mail.
Please avoid visiting the office for any reason unless you have been informed to do so by the Risk Manager or a Risk Management team member.
In addition, we have implemented an alternative method of communication to continue the personable connection by way of Google Meets. Google Meets is a video-chatting service designed primarily for business and office use, which allows us to chat over video and text. You may request this service by sending an email to workers.compensation@pgcps.org or follow-up directly with your Risk Management team member.

TO FILE A NEW CLAIM AFTER OCTOBER 1, 2022: To file a Workers' Compensation Claim, you may contact the Injured Employee Hotline at 1-855-364-9861. Call this number to report your workers' compensation claim prior to seeking medical attention for all work-related non-life-threatening injuries.
