Transportation Update: What Families Need to Know

We are ready to welcome students back to school! Our transportation team is preparing to safely serve more than 74,000 student riders.

If you do not yet see a bus assignment, we understand that this may be frustrating as you prepare for the first day of school. Bus assignments are being released in waves as student registrations are completed and verified. Families who registered after the July 31 deadline may experience a delayed transportation start.

When will my child receive transportation?

What should I do now?

  1. Check ParentVUE or the Chipmunk bus app for your child’s official bus route, stop and pickup time.
  2. If you don't have an assignment yet, use BusPlanner Web. Enter your home address and school to find the single closest eligible stop. Use that stop until your permanent assignment appears in ParentVUE and Chipmunk.
  3. Download the Chipmunk bus app to view your assignment, track your bus in real time and receive arrival alerts.

Please do not submit a transportation help request for a missing stop before school starts. This can add processing time while assignments are being finalized.

What to expect during the first week

Even with extensive preparation, some bus delays are expected during the first week as drivers become familiar with routes, traffic patterns and school sites. Our transportation team will monitor service and make adjustments as needed.
