Arts in the Park Celebrates Student Creativity!

Students took center stage October 10 at Arts in the Park, a vibrant celebration of student talent, creative expression and community connection at Fairwood Park in Bowie.

Hosted by the PGCPS Department of Specialty Programs and The Arts in partnership with the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, the free event showcased student artists from across grade levels and artistic disciplines.

Families and community members enjoyed live performances and creative displays spanning band, dance, media arts, orchestra, theatre, visual art and vocal music. Local food trucks added to the festivities, while attendees had opportunities to learn more about PGCPS specialty programs in the arts.
