Fueling Student Success: School Lunch Hero Day!

School Lunch Hero Day (May 3) is a chance to recognize the incredible contributions of PGCPS’ more than 950 school nutrition professionals who provide nutritious meals for 133,000+ PGCPS students!

Our school nutrition team both inside and outside of schools plays a vital role in promoting the overall well-being of students.

“From preparing delicious food, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies and offering service with a smile, our food service team have a lot on their plate,” said Patrice Puertollano, Acting Senior Food and Nutrition Supervisor for Prince George’s County Public Schools. “School Lunch Hero Day is an opportunity for the community to thank these hard-working sheroes and heroes for their dedication to fueling our students’ success.”
