The Harvard Graduate School of Education’s (HGSE) 13th Doctoral Leadership Cohort is bringing their diverse experiences teaching, innovating, and leading school systems nationwide to PGCPS!
As part of the cohort’s Doctor of Education Leadership (Ed.L.D.) Program, 18 educators and public education leaders are teaming up with PGCPS department leaders in the Office of Schools, Support & Leadership, Human Resources, Information Technology and Career & Technical Education to explore innovative strategies and solutions for both classroom instruction and operational efficiency.
Project goals for each PGCPS department include:
Office of Schools, Support & Leadership: Strategies to best serve PGCPS’ fast-growing English Language Learners (ELL), including building a more diverse workforce.
Human Resources: Introducing new approaches to retain high-quality educators and staff.
Career and Technical Education (CTE): Expanding apprenticeship opportunities to improve the completion rates of CTE pathways among students.
Information Technology: Implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, specifically an A.I. Virtual Chatbot on the PGCPS website to enhance customer service, user experience and increase resolutions to common questions and concerns.
