The Maryland Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by participating school systems that recognizes a student’s high proficiency level in listening, speaking, reading and writing in one or more languages other than English. Last school year 2022-2023, Prince George’s County Public Schools had 272 students who earned the Seal of Biliteracy in the following languages: Spanish, Japanese, French, Latin, Portuguese and German.
