As we wrap up the fourth week of the school year, we want to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing partnership and support. We’re pleased to share that our transportation services are steadily improving, with fewer delays and challenges each week.
A key part of this progress is hiring more bus drivers. Since August, we’ve welcomed 40 new drivers to our team, and we have many more promising candidates in the interview process. We’re encouraged by the results of our ongoing recruitment efforts.
A dedicated recruiter is now working closely with our transportation department to focus on hiring.
We’ve made it easier to apply: Maryland applicants can now get driving records free of charge, with no MVA visit required.
We launched an internal recruitment initiative to encourage current staff with flexible schedules to consider driving opportunities.
We’ve upgraded to a new hiring platform (Frontline) that makes the application process more transparent and efficient for both candidates and our team.
We’re committed to making continued progress and appreciate your patience and support as we work to ensure safe and reliable transportation for all students.
We are now in phase 2 of the pilot of our new Chipmunk mobile app and will be adding G, K, and R routes this week. The Chipmunk app allows families to track their child’s bus in real time. Learn more about Chipmunk here.
