Small group tutoring implemented by the PGCPS Elementary Reading/English Language Arts and Elementary Mathematics offices concluded for the 2022-2023 school year. Both programs offered a student to PGCPS teacher ratio of 4-to-1 for virtual tutoring. Student participants remained virtual due to the lack of bus transportation after school hours.
Reading
The Voyager Passport® After-School Tutoring Program for K-3 concluded at all of the 37 elementary schools and/or academies that elected to participate for 2022-2023 school year on March 27, 2023 (prior to Spring Break). The Voyager Passport® After-School Tutoring Program for K-3 was held virtually three days a week Monday-Friday. Students and families selected their designated days and times once the individual schools posted the respective schedules.
Attendance for the Program (November 28, 2022 - March 27, 2023)
The average attendance rate by grade level was Kindergarten - 69%, Grade 1 - 78%, Grade 2 - 75% and Grade 3 - 73%.

Mathematics
Carnegie Learning, Inc K-3 tutoring concluded for all elementary students for the 2022-2023 school year on June 15, 2023. The Carnegie Learning, Inc after-school tutoring program was held virtually for two 30-minute sessions each week on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 3-6 p.m. Students and families selected their designated days and times.
Attendance for Cohort I (November 7, 2022 - January 23, 2023)
The average attendance rate by grade level was Kindergarten - 58%, Grade 1 - 38%, Grade 2 - 41% and Grade 3 - 30%.
