Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) has established and implemented a summer school program for public school students to address the effects of the COVID–19 pandemic on education. Per the requirements of Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, each student who participated in summer school received an educational assessment prior to beginning the program and on completion of the program. These assessments were used to evaluate program outcomes.
PGCPS then reports on the progress of the summer program to the Legislative Policy Committee of the General Assembly (HB1372, Section 4(c)) on or before January 1, 2022, and January 1, 2023.
