Lottery Opens November 2, 2027

TALENTED AND GIFTED – Closing Date: March 12, 2027
All applications are due by 5pm of the deadline.
STEP 1 - The student must have a PGCPS Student Identification Number. You can locate it on the Report Card or in your Parent Vue Account. Review the blue options to determine your status.
OPTION 1: I ALREADY HAVE A STUDENT ID NUMBER, and I have already activated my Parent Vue Account.
Please go to Step 2.
OPTION 2: I ALREADY HAVE A STUDENT ID NUMBER, but I have NEVER activated my Parent Vue Account. (Student IDs are retained indefinitely)
Log into your Parent Vue Account. You are an considered an existing parent if you currently have or previously had a student enrolled in a PGCPS school or had a student ID number issued for previous lotteries/ child find/SpEd evaluations, even if the student never enrolled.
o If you have never activated your account, please click here.
o Select Request Account Activation under the picture of the Pink Key. You will receive an email with an activation key/number.
o Go back to the login screen and select Activate Account under the yellow icon.

OPTION 3: DO NOT HAVE A STUDENT ID NUMBER
Parents/guardians can obtain an ID number by submitting an online Student ID Request Application. Upon submitting, you will need to upload your proof of residency, the student's birth certificate, and your government-issued photo ID.
o If you have a Parent Vue account already and it is already activated, see below. (You may have an older sibling enrolled and are now enrolling a new student)
§ Submit a request by selecting Student ID application using OLR
§ Upload Documents
§ Submit application.
§ Upon approval and obtaining the student ID, you can go to Step 2
o If you DO NOT have a Parent Vue account. You are a new parent to PGCPS and the student has never received an ID and never enrolled, please follow below.
§ Select Create New Account under the yellow icon.

§ You must submit your application no later than 48 hours prior to the lottery closing date (February 3, 2027 5pm).
§ Submit your application by following the guidance in Step 2.
STEP 2 - Submit your Application
· Charter Schools - If applying to the Charter School, please log into Parent Vue. Click on Online Registration. Under the 27-28 school year, select Charter School Lottery. Follow the application instructions to apply.
· K-8 Specialty Schools – Please click on the link below for the program you are interested in applying. Please note the guidelines and requirements in the application.
o Language Immersion: Kindergarten Only
o Created and Performing Arts: Kindergarten – 8th grade
o Montessori: PreK 3 (half day and no transportation)/PreK 4(full day) – 8th Grade
o Talented and Gifted: 2nd – 8th grade
STEP 3 – Results will be released in Early Spring. Please note, if awarded a placement, you will need to register at the school within a specified time frame. Please familiarize yourself with the registration process. https://www.pgcps.org/registration/
