Frequently Asked Questions about Student Enrichment Packets

Are the Student Break Packets mandatory

No. The student break packets are optional, but we ask that you encourage your child(ren) to complete them throughout the year in order to maintain skills learned or learn new skills as students work on skills learned and prepare for the upcoming school year.

How do you access the packets?

The packets can be accessed by going to the Student Resources page.

When will the answer keys be available?

Answer keys that apply for each packet will already be posted. Many of our summer packets do not include answer keys as they are daily activities. 

Are packets for all PGCPS schools, including students in charter schools?

Yes. The packets are systemic for all students, and they are optional. Select only the packet(s) for your child’s grade level. 

Is there a packet available for Pre-Kindergarten and Head Start students?

No. Packets are available only for Kindergarten through Twelfth grade.

What should I do if my child needs help with completing the packet?

These packets are for extra practice only, teachers will not be expected to assist or review student work.

Who should I contact if I have questions on the calendar/packet?

You can send an email to break.packet@pgcps.org.

Who should receive my child’s completed packet?

You are not required to submit packets as they are only there for your use with your child(ren).

Will credit be given if the packet is complete?

Packets are optional, and no credit will be awarded for completion.

What should I do if I am not able to download the packet?

Try downloading from a different computer or you may email break.packet@pgcps.org
