About The Program The Drama/Theatre department is staffed with Dr. Patricia Payne, Theatre Insteuctional Supervisor, and Ms.Bridgit Artis, Theatre Resource teacher. Drama/Theatre programs offer opportunities for students to explore all aspects of drama, develop basic skills, and develop an appreciation for Theatre Arts. Curriculum and coursework encourage a well-rounded understanding of the skills involved in producing live theatre, including but not limited to, acting, technical theatre, improvisation, scene study, performance, and theatre history. In addition to supporting teachers in the delivery of curriculum, the department sponsors the Honors Theatre Ensemble (selected through audition) and the Theatre Performance Assessments. Furthermore, central office can conduct informal and formal observations, provide needs-based professional development (including arts integration lessons and activities), and provide certified arts integration specialist support for lesson planning and demonstration lessons.
