News Release: Prince George’s County Health Department Adds Covid-19 Vaccine Clinics, Extends Hours for Children Ages Five and Up

37 elementary schools added to schedule of mobile vaccine clinics; Sports and Learning Complex clinic extends hours on Fridays and Sundays

UPPER MARLBORO, MD The Prince George’s County Health Department’s mobile school-based vaccine clinics now include 37 elementary schools starting Monday, November 8 to give families of children ages five and older more opportunities to get protected against the virus. The Health Department previously announced 15 high school sites.

Children who are five and older can receive free COVID-19 vaccinations during after-school hours. Each clinic will have Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccine supply available; Pfizer is currently the only vaccine brand authorized for children ages 5 to 11.

Additionally, the Health Department’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Wayne K. Curry Sports and Learning Complex has extended its hours on Fridays and Sundays.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COVID-19 CLINIC HOURS

Monday-Friday | 3 - 8 p.m.

A complete school clinic schedule and links to schedule appointments are available online. Walk-ins will also be accepted. These clinics also provide additional doses or booster doses, if needed

Individuals younger than 18 receiving vaccinations must have a parent or legal present at the clinic to complete the appropriate consent form below:

SPORTS AND LEARNING COMPLEX COVID-19 CLINIC HOURS

Monday and Wednesday | 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday | 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Friday | 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Sunday | 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The clinic will be CLOSED:
Thursday, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day)
Sunday, Nov. 14 (Washington Football Team home game)

Walk-ins at the Sports and Learning Complex are accepted, but appointments are encouraged. Visit mypgc.us/COVIDvaccine to make an appointment.

Free COVID-19 vaccinations for children five and older are available at a growing list of local health care providers. Parents and legal guardians are encouraged to contact their pediatrician’s office or their nearby pharmacy. To search nearby clinics, use the county’s vaccine locator.
