UPPER MARLBORO, MD — Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) has released a survey to get input from families, students, educators, administrators and childcare providers for a new administrative policy.
The survey, which closes Monday, Oct. 28, addresses learning attitudes, expectations around the frequency of homework assignments and the amount of time spent on homework. It also covers the impact of homework on overall learning and family activities. The survey is available in Spanish and French.
Since April, a school system task force of administrators, teachers and parents has been working to develop a new administrative procedure on homework guidelines for the 2020-21 school year. The task force is reviewing current policies and procedures, gathering research on best practices and will design a training plan to help implement the new procedure systemwide.
A link to the survey can be found on the school system’s website at www.pgcps.org or accessed directly at hanover-research.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6PTRWInnDfxIK8t.
